This 'Captains Quarters' Apartment is one of two rentals on the 'Collier-Casey Estate' property with its own private entrance and upstairs deck that overlooks an Eastern view of the Marsh, Saint Marys River, Intra-Coastal Waterway, Pass to the Atlantic Ocean and distant Cumberland and Fernandina/Amelia Islands.
The “Captains Quarters”, with it’s upstairs deck offers “the best views” on the property, and is a spacious 1200 SF apartment with 14 ft. Vaulted Ceiling Great Room, with living, kitchen, and breakfast areas; over-sized queen bedroom with walk-in closet; and large bath with Jacuzzi garden tub, walk-in shower, two large double vanities, and private water closet.
It is a perfect location for a couple and offers plenty of room for a week or longer stay!
The tropical setting of the fully landscaped 2+ acre property, with its palm trees, moss-draped oaks, and southern pecan trees, is situated directly on the Marsh to the East, with un-obscured views of Cumberland Island, 'the pass' to the open waters of the Atlantic Ocean, and Fernandina Beach, FL.; and un-obscured River views to the south (front) of the property! No other rental property in Saint Marys offers these beautiful water views.
This property is a 5 minute or less walk to the town center (only one “small town block” to the Saint Marys River waterfront and village shops and restaurants)! Summary: How lucky we were to find this wonderful place. Loved everything about the Captains Quarters inside and out, especially the beautiful sunrises over the marsh! Loved the slow pace of this unique little sleepy town. mThe home was special and the hospitality from the hosts made us feel like family.Equipped with everything, except the wine! But we were prepared and wined and dined on the deck almost every evening surrounded by such beautiful surroundings.Thanks for sharing this golden jewel. We will return!
